DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the unveiling of Winchcombe’s first Blue Plaque\, on the birthplace in Gloucester Street of the 17th century scientist Christopher Merrett\, who first put the fizz into champagne. Please assemble in St Peter’s Church before the unveiling ceremony and return to the Church afterwards for a glass of jazz and a short talk by well-known writer and wine expert Victor Keegan. \nEvent supported by The Oldham Foundation and Lovells Vineyard.
